Life is filled with unexpected challenges. It is rarely how we imagined it would be. When you find yourself facing difficult circumstances it is not unusual to experience feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, and failure. How you navigate these moments determines your sense of well-being and your ability to adapt and create a fulfilling life.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help to shed light on your difficulties so that you can grow to master them. Through understanding the roots of your challenges and the motives that drive your behaviors, you can make different choices with the result of achieving different outcomes. When you simply cannot figure it out alone, help from an experienced psychotherapist can make all the difference in creating a positive outcome.

In addition to general practice and being a Licensed Certified Social Worker, I specialize in working with the members of families formed by adoption. Adoption presents families with unique questions and challenges. Support for understanding these experiences can help them to recognize issues and problem-solve them effectively. In my adoptive parent support groups I give parents a safe space to air feelings and concerns; develop ways facilitate better communication with their children and manage parenting questions that arise.
